Catalyst Testing

MCLinc provides evaluation of issues effecting catalyst performance such as light-off temperature, masking or fouling agents, catalyst poisons, optimum space velocities, and preferred catalyst support.  MCLinc understands that obtaining timely and accurate test results is a crucial step in designing, developing and improving catalytic products or processes.  MCLinc utilizes classical X-Ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) with catalyst reaction chamber, electron microscopy (SEM, STEM, TEM), micro x-ray fluorescence (EDS, WDS), and vibrational spectroscopy (S\FTIR, UV/VIS) to provide elemental, chemical state, morphological, and speciation analysis.

With collaboration with Advanced Catalyst Systems, LLC, additional equipment includes fixed bed reactors, autosorb surface area analyzer (BET), and dedicated high sensitivity gas detectors for CO, NOx, SO2, H2S, O2, CO2, and VOCs.  By blending pollutants and water vapor in air or nitrogen, we can simulate virtually any gas stream for testing under the conditions you specify.  Other services offered include on-site troubleshooting and recommendations on catalyst regeneration procedures.

MCLinc offers complete catalyst services including catalyst regeneration and performance testing, for both ceramic and metal substrate catalyst.  Applications include catalysts in pollution control (DeNOx, CO, VOC, & NSCR), energy production (catalytic combustion), catalytic purification (DEOXO), and catalysts for chemical synthesis.
