MCLinc researchers are experienced in the fabrication of bench scale models of chemical process systems. The system shown here was used to find an alternate coolant to be used to replace Freonâ in a UF6 system. Similar process models have been used for chemical accident reconstruction, to test decontamination techniques, and to optimize waste treatment/stabilization processes. Example processes include long-term, low-temperature (LTLT) gas phase decontamination, in-situ vitrification, advanced grouting techniques, and reactive barrier systems. |
